DECORATIVE MENDING WORKSHOP

Join Pangea Kali Virga, sustainable Miami designer and fiber artist, at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden for a sewing workshop teaching participants fun and useful skills they need to mend and personalize their clothing.
Participants are invited to bring their personal clothing items to stitch and personalize using an array of decorative and useful stitches. Mend your holes, cover your stains, add your personal design touches to your favorite pieces of clothing. All materials will be provided for this fun, expressive, and educational sustainability workshop.
The skills and stitches learned will cover sewing on buttons, hemming, patching, applique and more. Come personalize and mend your beloved clothing items and learn skills you will use for the rest of your life.
COVID-19 Precautions – Event will be held outdoors with roof coverage. Please wear a mask. Hand sanitizier will be available to all participants.
